The PittChallenge healthcare hackathon spanned 24-48 hours to develop innovative solutions for critical healthcare challenges by bringing together students from diverse disciplines—pharmacy, engineering, design, and more to disrupt the world of healthcare. As a Major League Hacking-sponsored event, The Pitt Challenge, 100+ participants from universities across the country to compete in 8-10 challenge tracks. Student led and student run, the hackathon addresses issues like healthcare worker burnout, patient engagement, big data and machine learning applications, AI governance, and patient privacy. The beginner-friendly event welcomed participants regardless of technical or healthcare experience and generated real-world impact, with projects spinning out into companies, like Korion Health.
The CostPlusPharmacies.com platform allows pharmacies to share this fair, transparent medication prices with the world. This was created as a collaborative projects across experts in cost plus pharmacy models, back-end drug information databases, and front-end web design.

The Blueberry Pharmacy website (www.blueberrypharmacy.com) serves as a platform for prescription management, cost-plus model education, and advertising the value of the fair, transparent prices of medication through the pharmacy's model. The website has had 150,000+ users, with more than2,500+ users as "active" on a monthly basis. Iterations and ongoing maintenance of this site has included Wordpress content management, HTML/CSS, MySQL, PHP, Java, Apache, and other various languages.
